I have no intention of rewriting everything. Will however try to do small pilot app as to explore whole concept.
As far as I understood, Lianja will support x-base code so we are not talking about full rewrites anyway (actually trying to avoid them as it would be case with NET road) but more like adopting code. Personally, I really dislike web apps and would not trust web app to run anything but simple web content showings, which we do very easily with Joomla. (Few weeks max per website)
Cloud I trust even less! {g}

What I am interested to see in action is Lianja's database (Recital) which I gather can be manipulated/programmed using x-base language. That would be my dream come true :) Long time ago I (naively) hoped that some future version of VFP will include directly
opening and using MS-SQL database tables just like we do with VFP native tables. It would have been kind of logical path for
after let say VFP5 but then we all know what happened. So If Lianja can come anywhere close in fulfilling that dream I am definitely interested in it.

As for mainstream vs niche... Don't get me even started.
Some time ago VFP was mainstream as well. The way M$ simply disregarded many millions of VFP application users, so I really wander what is the advantage of going 'mainstream'.

Niche or Mainstream, there is no guarantee for longevity not so ever, so what a heck.
