I took a look back at the designer for this interface in regards to see if something could be done to allow a setting that you would have been able to support the enabling to have a visual representation to resize the map from the message area.

Before, we had Frames and Framesets. This is why you were able to benefit of that. Frames and Framesets is old technology and many browsers have stopped to offer its full support and this is discountinued. This is no longer supported in HTML 5. So, we moved into something else and this simply does not exist. This is why there is still setting for the percentage to determine how much you would like to give to the map towards to message area.

Even if I find a way to make the setting more closer or more easily reachable, it will never be a resize as you did before. There might be something to do to simulate that, and I am sure there is, but because this would require a lot of work, I have to put this one in pending for now.

Technology has moved and not all of that is satisfying me. This is one example. But, I have to move on with it. Otherwise, this site will cease to exist. We have resolved a lot of issues by going into HTML 5. But, as you might have seen, we waited because, despite the fact that it has been there for years, major browsers were still not agreeing to fully support it. And, even today, this is not the case. I can tell a lot about it. After 20 months of hard work to release it, there were so many obstacles I had to find workarounds because a major browser has decided to not be fully compliant with HTML 5, despite announcing as being so.

I can tell you that Tapcis, Ozcis and Compuserve, including other offline readers were doing well. But, this site does a lot, if not more. It is not just because one single option is no longer part of the site that this site is a total waste. Sometimes, I read those messages and I see people so frustrated because one option has been moved one pixel to the left. It's not the end of the world. I am always opened to see what I can do to help and, if needed, to release new settings to satisfy a few members. We have seen that on the release. On the last minute, three or four settings have been added to give more for the color and other related settings.

I do appreciate your comment however and once I find something that can have that support, I will be sure to let you know.
