>Beshear is a staunch Obama lapdog who will spew the party talking points every time he opens his mouth. Its nice to hear that the state exchange technology is actually working, but it isn't clear that "sign-ups" = enrollments. Many have said it actually includes those who simply set up the account, not get enrolled. I don't know. But this is a funny state - solidly Democrat at the state level but very much Republican in Congressional and Presidential races. I wouldn't put much stock in this one success story. Besides, 1/50 isn't a great roll out percentage. I'm SURE that he has been asked to trumpet his news!

Well, there is always more to the story...just found this today. It seems that many of the "success" stories at the state level are counting not only insurance enrollments (of which 7 million are needed to make this thing work, per the CBO haha) with MEDICAID enrollments

CBS News has confirmed that in Washington, of the more than 35,000 people newly enrolled, 87 percent signed up for Medicaid. In Kentucky, out of 26,000 new enrollments, 82 percent are in Medicaid. And in New York, of 37,000 enrollments, Medicaid accounts for 64 percent. And there are similar stories across the country in nearly half of the states that run their own exchanges

In Oregon there were ZERO people (of the 56,000 "enrollees") who actually enrolled in Obamacare. Just 56K more on the dole.
