I agree with you 100% on that one. And I've spoken out before that the NRA doesn't do as much as they should in promoting gun safety
It infuriates me when I hear about idiots who leave guns under a bed, where a five year old can find it.
About 2 months ago at a client dinner, I broke with my normal rule about not debating these topics with clients. I got in a LOUD argument at a restaurant with someone on the dangers of leaving guns out in the open where kids can get to them.
I believe that law-abiding citizens who understand the responsibility of weapons should be able to own them for defense, for sport, or hunting. I also have no problem with an updated national registration database, except for the fact that I don't really trust our administration to use that information to violate security rights or for political purposes.
