I saw Dawn of the Dead many times as a teen. I grew up just a few miles from a major mall that had a movie theater where a friend was an usher. So I spent many Friday nights from 12 AM to 2 AM seeing Dawn of the Dead and Rocky Horror Picture show. I'll make a distinction - watching DOTD or other zombie/slasher movies for entertainment (or to verbally "riff" stupid behavior of the victims) is OK and even fun. It's the people who actually believe in zombies and watch Walking Dead out of a belief that it might someday happen- well, there's a famous Robert Heinlein quote about the fate they deserve, but I'm too polite to quote it. :)

I watched first season of WD and also saw the horse scene. I'd rather watch an hour of HRC - at least I can make fun of her. :)
