But it is not simply a 'noble thought' that everyone should have heath insurance. It's called being a jackass when you only want to insure healthy people to keep your own rates low. Insuring everyone is not only the morally right thing to do - but in the long run it would pay off because people are able to take advantage of preventive health care vs waiting until you need lots of high dollar help at the emergency room. Just my 2cents - Plus if you think about it - isn't this kind of the entire concept of "insurance" to begin with? I'm sure that a bean-counting-accountant at the insurance company who cares about nothing other than the insurance company reaping huge profits would not like this - but this shouldn't be about that - it should be about caring for our fellow humans. What the GOP's plan was to do is basically screw anyone who needs help so those who don't can save a few bucks and those who are in need can just die. You take healthcare away from 25 million people - then people will die. And that is what they wanted to do.
