>>Walter, my inquiry to Microsoft was for lawful owners of VFP9 in the U.S., if it was legal for them to download and use Chen's products.

>My reluctancy is with my customers. By applying Chen's enhancements and bug fixes, I am obligating my customers to do the same. They may have problems with it. They may see it as a violation of the EULA. They may even have a problem with it coming from China (with is a hot subject lately.) The difference is the laws between our countries may raise concerns with my customers. With that said, I have elected not to use Chen's product for production....
It's a great concern to me. There are people investing their man-hours / months / years on projects using his code. If it's found to be in violation, that's a major blow to them, their customers, their products.
I've been fortunate in that whenever I've found a bug in VFP I could not workaround, I would write a DLL to compensate for it and it was no longer and issue. I've done that on several items over the years.

Me too.
>I hope you hear something from MS, one way or another.
Me too. I would like to be able to decompile VFP and add and extensions to it. It would come in most handy when Win10 or 11 or 12 starts breaking VFP9.exe and prevents it from working at all.
