I'm not unhappy that the Canadian government knows my vaccination status. Hopefully, that's as far as it goes.
However, if I go to Restaurant X at a certain date and time, and have to get an online "approval" with photo ID to be able to enter, the government may log that I was at Resto X at that date and time. As a tech person my gut feeling is it is logged but as a citizen I hope that information is not used for anything other than troubleshooting the approval app. I'd rather the approval was ephemeral and not logged at all, but we know that computers never forget. Worse, they
cannot forget.
