>What version of Win95? There are some known problems with shared printing, which can be fixed by patches available from Microsoft. Try Windows Update for All Platforms

Thanks, I will!!!

>An ECP port is a parallel port with hardware that allows for better performance and printer control...

Is ECP compatible with a network? Maybe we should try a more common port connection to see if it starts working from the remote computer.

>Do the print jobs make it to the spooler? (you can see jobs spooled and waiting by opening the printer from the Printers dialog.) It may be that the queue is set as held.

I can see it in the spooler window of the sending computer, but the corresponding spooler on the other end never shows anything.

>You might also have a problem with a printer cable, especailly if it's an older cable that might not have all 25 printer port signals carried properly. A new, IEEE compliant printer cable might help in this case.

Good point!!! I didn't mention that we can put the 820C where the 890C was and it prints OK. But, then it's on a different printer cable (the 890C's cable). I'll try swapping cables as well. We'll also take a look at the cable using the ECP port.

Thanks a bunch for the suggestions!
