So my question now would be, is there anyway to trace whether vfp is losing connections or file handles? Perhaps something in the error routine to see if the connection is still present or something...?????

What are the functions that are used to employ manual connectivity? And finally, is there any other good sorce of info to find out what VFP is doing in the background with the Network?
