Malcolm:
I once heard a great scientist say that we know less than 1% of the Universal Laws... I do feel like I know nothing at times. I usually end at the bookstore and buy several computer books on the same subject and start reading one hour or two a day. It's been much easier in the past few years after I discovered Wrox publisher; althought they publish books primarily for VB, the discussion often applies to VFP and the books build upon each other. I just set myself fairly realistic goals and I don't try to learn everything at oncce. Pick a subject you like and try it: you will learn something and get fresh ideas on how to design and code. Some of the subjects I picked: Design Patterns, Good Pratices, UI Design, XHTML. Try to pick books that explains WHAT IS instead of HOW TO because they are the one from which you will retain information.
I hold 3 M.Sc. and I still feel like I know nothing so, believe me, what you are feeling is quite natural.
