I would agree with you, but it doesn't matter which table I try to update, it does not allow me to do it. I have tracked it to the line of code(s) that are failing and they are the insert or delete lines for that particular table. The curious thing is that it does work from a machine with VFP installed on it. Which is why I think it is something ot do with an install issue. There are no protection problems. I checked the table and it is not read only. Thanks for your ideas.
