>Thanks for your reply, but still, there must be some kind of event i can trap if i loose network connection ? Then i could send it to my VFP Front end. I can't open a new connection every time i want to use one of the COM Function ! I call the COM about 20 to 30 times on the average form, multiply that by about 500 users and you have a major network trafic jam.

I don't think so. The only time you know you've lost the connection is when you attempt to do something and you've already lost it.

At this point, VFP doesn't have control, the OS does. It attempts to make a connection to the other box and can't. Even then I don't think it raises an event when the connection can't be made; it just returns an error to the OS.
