Thank you for your patience and your extensive response.

The question is not so much the VFP/VB argument, but rather what the future of VFP is, give the market situation of the various languages, and why this situation is what it is. We all agree that Foxpro as a File Server based data centric programming language is very good, yes arguably technically even the best. And most of what companies need is data centric, is it not?

So if MS did not see it fit develop the market of VFP and extend its applicability to the end user side nor make it intrinsically C/S on the other side, but rather develop and push (market wise) what we all think are less valuable products, then it takes a damn optimist to believe that this technology will survive.

I'm glad they can be found on the UT :)
