Thanks for the input. Someone in my group has some Perl stuff they are using to run scripts and send email notifications. I'm looking into doing it all from within a sql script fired off by the SQL Server Scheduler. I'm hoping to find a method of sending email notification via an smtp server. If or when I do I'll post what I find.
