>After my experience, and in order to stay within the rules, the next time I have a windows problem I'm likely to go to other forums with more trafic and likelyhood of help than to post in the windows forum of the UT, and that's really not good for our community, but I don't see what else I can do when I need a hand with something unrelated to vfp.

Threads are being moved in their appropriate forums since months now. It has been announced, archived and part of the rules. When that happens, we usually allow a full day before moving it, if the thread has been initially posted in VFP forum. So, as it has more traffic, it allows the flexibility of receiving a minimum amount of replies before the move. But, we have to do it. That's how it is.

Dozens of threads are moved months after months. When such an action is taken, users involved in the thread are notified by email and by private messages. Rarely we receive comments in such an action. However, we do appreciate when we have some.

I don't know what you mean by alerting users.
