I'm running the PWS that comes with Win2k Pro, and long since realized that the manager won't stop/start it. However I tried PWS.EXE /Stop and it merely popped up the manager - no change in results. Did I misunderstand you or is there no choice but to reboot to clear out running DLLs?

>Yes, PWS will accomplish this - it's available in the Win NT option Pak. Just remember to use the commands PWS /stop and PWS /start for stopping and starting. Pressing the Stop button in the manager will not fully stop the PWS web server..
