Jim,
>Yawn. Tried this AM, all fog and mist, 45 degrees to boot. Sigh. Maybe tomorrow...
FOURTY-FIVE degrees????? isn't it supposed to be summer in NY?
>I stand corrected. I lived in the Philippines for a number of years
oh...where and when? military?
the PI seems to get a lot more Typhoons than we do, but oc, they're a bigger target. I lived there for a year...mostly around the N. coast of Mindoro, in Puerto Galera ...was on a sailboat, so we spent Typhoon season there, since it was a great harbor...then spent about 4-5 months sailing around, east and a bit south of there (but definitely NORTH of Mindinao). Also flew to Palawan for a vacation once...El Nido was lovely.
Have you come across the book, "The Biggest Elvis," by Kluge (I think)? if you're at all still interested in the PI, it's a fascinating book...
>See if you can paste that into a browser.
Ah...thanks...I attended Cortland State for 2 years (I see that's close!) thought I wanted to be a HS math teacher - then I discovered these computer thingys.
Happy Weekend...J
