I have used the HTML Help compiler before. That would have to be installed on all pc's as well as dll to run this. Also I want to keep the data in a database to make the data easier to handle perhaps as pdf files in a general field...
THanks
>>I would like to create a help database for use over our company windows network. I need to provide the users a printable page like a pdf and a treeview(I guess) to navigate the help system. Should I do it all in VFP and store pdf pages in a general field or try and do it as a web page? Any thoughts on this will help me figure how to start this project. I would like to not have to install the program on all the pc's in the network... some don't have internet connections...

>Use the HTML Help compiler, to create help files like the one VFP 6 uses (CHM extension). Included in Visual FoxPro 6; latest download from

>Use FrontPage Express (included with IE5, but, I think, not installed by default) to edit HTML pages. You can also use MS-Word - I don't recommend this.
