>It depends on your cluster size. Large HDs have large cluster sizes. A 1KB file can tag an entire 32KB cluster as used. If you have a *LOT* of small files your HD may appear to be full, even though it is not. You can use PCMagic to reduce your cluster size, but that will increase disk activity loading big executables. It's a trade off.

Unless you are using WinHardware (WinModems, WinPrinters, etc..) no problem with the hardware. Software is another problem. As an independent consultant, however, the choice of software is up to you. There is always a market for a skilled craftsperson. But, don't count on MS releasing a version of VFP for Linux. Kylix or KDevelop or Glade or Visual Age for Java (IBM) or Forte (SUN) or Pick or many other GUI-RAD dbms tools... but not VFP. :(
