>>>Oh, I'm sure to. My daughter, her husband, and my granddaughters live in Valparaiso. In fact, that's where my wife and I will move within the next five years or so.
>>
>>Don't know much about the town, but I've been by many times on I-65 and in town a couple times. Valparaiso College is Lutheran affiliated and has a striking chapel.
>>
>>It probably won't seem a big cultural change from Georgia!

>Actually, it will be more like going back to live where I did when I was growing up (Hyde Park in Chicago) and after my wife and I were married (Evanston). Both are, for want of a better term, "college towns". With Hyde Park it's the University of Chicago, and Evanston has Northwestern.
Although I spent quite a bit of time in Hyde Park, I'd take Evanston any day!
>The first thing my wife said after my daughter took her on a tour of the town was, "Geo, it reminds me of Evanston". I'd have to agree. My daughter has been emailing me real estate listing since.< bg >
She's wise to have let you get yourself hooked in the first place. <g>
>When we moved here in 1981, it wasn't usual to see farm machinery driving down the streets. Now, it's pretty much suburban USA.
I understand that "Valpo" still has a small town feel to it. Folks here speak of it affectionately.
