In the past, I would wait for long periods before actually speaking to a real person. But I was being helped in a matter of a few minutes. Anyway, sorry you had such a hard time with Crescent. I had similar problems with MicroHelp, with their compression library. I got my money back, and bought DynaZip and got it working within minutes of installation. From now on, I look at the descriptions of any ActiveX control that interests me, and if I don't see VFP mentioned, I stay away.

Dana,

I just think that if a vendor is going to claim to have ActiveX compliant controls, that there ought to be at least a minimal attempt on their part to support it as such. As I mentioned in my comments, ActiveX is language independent, so if it works in one language and is written to the spec, then it should work in environments that support it. I know that there are some folks who absolutely hate these controls, because of the problems have are sometimes associated with them. I'm not one of them. There's a tremendous upside to them, once the glitches get shaken out. I wish that Microsoft would issue some sort of seal, like they do with Windows, for these controls.
