I've got to many classes (great ones!), and usually they perform lots of related functions to the subject in question (and not only the asked one), and I get confused (scared) when trying to understand in those big codes what I was trying to look for. Many times I isolate into a small prg function just the code I need.

IMHO, studying code written by other people is the best way to learn programming. If it's good code you learn how to program. If it's not good than you learn how not to program. If code scares you maybe you should consider another occupation? < G,D&R >

I think it's bad advise. I would never use a class/code if I don'y understand how it works. However there're programmers that're only interested in the result and don't care how it's achieved.

Shouldn't be easier for the person who's asking something to have the fundamentals told to him, in order that he/she can understand all parts involved?

There's no way to know from the post how much info asking person required to understand the answer. Thet's why there is Reply button at the buttom of the message that he/she can use to ask additional questions if something isn't clear.
