Did someone at Mandrake was pulling a Microsoft when writing the installation script? It seems that once the thing is installed in such a way to automatically start the GUI, it cannot be easily changed to behave in a manner where it can be exited from without shutting down or restarting the system. Or maybe the ability to modify the behavior does exist but is buried in the GUI somewhere. I find this to be my biggest issue: it is much harder to find something in any given GUI than to simply type a command.

I also appologize for what might seem a fragmented remark, but I do not enjoy the benefits of the Premiere membership to UT and some of the things I try to do in order to read the thread are restricted to PUTM only.
