Why not use the progress bar ActiveX control that comes with VFP? Are you using VFP 5.0? If you're using 3.0, sorry. But if you're using 5.0, it comes with a bunch of nice ActiveX controls that you really should check out. I've used the progress bar and it is really easy to use. You can size it, too. Or use two on a form, one for current process and one for total job. Just a few ideas for you.

Look in the CtrlHelp folder under VFP, in the CtrlRef help file for information on using this and many other controls. And they're all free!
