I could agree with that, but when you read the lead paragraph of the article and the lead paragraphs of the sidebar (different authors BTW), they appear to be offering advice on a) database applications and b) upsizing. They've done a disservice to their readers if the only options they offer are bicycles and aircraft carriers. As I said elsewhere, Access, Alpha, askSam, FileMaker, etc. are going to choke a company long before they need or can afford a high-end DBMS. There are excellent solutions in the mid-range for many apps.
