The window is modal because it must be modal because it's a dialog window.
So, summary:
1) It's a bug in VFP6 and 7
2) You saying me to change the right code (modal window) to wrong code (non-modal window) and later try _somehow_ "to achive that I want to achive".
Tricky and it's a direct way to make more bugs. I wrote how I fix it before. It was a dirty solution, but looks like no right way in this situation.
