It very well could be either Printer Driver or Video Driver issue.
There is always printing going on (both, in foreground as well as in background by another vfp5 application). Most of my customer DO indeed use HP laser printers. Also, the crash does happen when there is video activity.
Do you know specifically what was fixed in vfp6 sp3 ? Since vfp5 seems to work just fine on other customer's winxp or other OS such as win98, ME, win2000..
Another observation is that some say it happens after a Save operation. This is a multi-user application and teh Save does a TRANSACTION where tables are in "Optimistic Buffer Mode". That may have something to do with the crashes on WinXP.
But, if it is indeed a Printer/Video driver issue, then how would I know which Driver to use in order to fix the problem ?
