Roy,

>Yes, we do both. Actually before it would do some of the merge stuff but not lately. I think maybe it has to do with us changing our VSS user logins to match our Windows 2000 logins and somehow that's affecting it. Originally we forgot to check in the project under the old login but then we realized it and changed to the old logins and checked the project in and went back to the new logins.

But is it checking files in properly? Updating the project list is exactly like a file check in...it is just checking in a PJM instead of a VCA, SCA, etc. etc. I don't know how it scould be checking in normal files correctly but not the project file...

>The problem here is that the shadow doesn't get the latest version for us, which kind of defeats the purpose. I always have to do a get latest to the shadow folder. Am I missing something?

So your shadow folders aren't working either? Do you have the folder set up as a shadow from the VSS Admin screen (there is a tab for "Shawod Folders" or something like that.

Having the shawod capability is not _that_ big of a deal. Getting latest is pretty easy, especially since VSS will to recursive gets and build the folders and all that. It was a while back (vss 5.0, I believe), but at some point I remember having trouble with the shadow folder not always keeping up with checked-in stuff. So, maybe Getting Latest isn't a bad idea anyway?

Sorry I can't be of more help...
