My INI stuff goes deeper so I use it for more then Data
(ie Printers). My dir structure is
C:\Root
C:\Root\Data
C:\Root\Reports
...
The problem is if I start the app in C:\Root then the relative
paths are not going to work. Relative paths
(if I understand you right) only work uphill ( ..\Data).
I also set the dataenvironment in forms. I let VFP open
& close the data for me. Why write & track extra code? What
I do though is have a property for the Default Table so if
there are 3 Tables open I know which one to go back to.
Anyway... The INI thing was a 'sure bet' to get specific info
to the app. I will one day get around to doing the RegEdit
thing but have not done so yet.
