PMFJI but, I understand that Citrix itself has addressed this problem...

I don't have a lot of info yet since we are just beginning to build our Citrix environment, but it's a patch (FoxFix.exe) to be installed on top of Citrix WinFrame 1.7.

I can only hope that the proper technology is included in M$ Hydra's release version. Right now we are working with the Beta and results have been quite positive over the LAN. Still working on the RAS connection...

>Yes and no. You are generally correct in saying it is a bandwidth issue. For example you are obviously going to get a faster response on a LAN using 10 - 100 MBit ethernet as compared to a 28.8 RAS connection. The main issue, in the case of VFP, is that VFP treats the entire screen as one large bitmap. Running an application on a Citrix LAN is no different than on NT or Novell as far as performance is concerned. But the main purpose of Citrix is as a thin client for remote access. This is where VFP fails, IMHO. I am hoping, and would prefer, that M$ gets their act together with Tahoe in respect to the bitmap issue, rather than me paying for more bandwidth than I really need just to accommodate VFP. HTH

>>>What is the Citrix Server. I think your problems may be in the Server rather than the line. A fast enough server should work acceptably over phone lines.
