Hi Hilmar

I got the 2 of the queries I has asked you resolved. I found out that I had to have to drag
drop all the files for the first time round into the Default Pending Changelist using explorer
and then submitting them into the depot, so I got the revision one of all the files.

Hope I am not troubling you too much with all these queries but I guess you have already may
have come across these problems when you would have used VFP and perforce.

Here are more observations that you may have come across and have a solution.

Later I was able to check out a project and frameworks files make a modification to 2 files. I
had to do a 2 step process, Revert Unchanged files and Sumbit. Can this be simplified and only
those files that have been changed are submitted and other automatically reverted.

One more thing that I noticed is when I built the project the frameworks vcx's were recompiled,
not becuase I had changed them but other project had recompiled them in the inbetween time.
The vcx's though not modified were checked in with another version no. Anyway you have resolved
this issue? It does not seem to be using the SCCTEXT.PRG specified in the Tools Options of
VFP6.

I still haven't found out the way to change the Depot folder.

What happens when I have to format the machine, how can I get it back to the state perforce was
just before I formatted.

I have my workspace folder as below:1
VSO3
 +---CodeBook
 | +---all it's folders
 +---Common (My framework level classes)
 | +---all it's folders
 +---Projects
 | +---C01
 | +---all it's folders
 | +---C09
 | +---all it's folders
 +---Distribution Files
 | +---all it's folders
 +---Still more folders and SubFolders
Till I am working on the project I can check out CodeBook, Common and C09 folders and I can
safely work on it, but when I want to distribute I guess I will have to check out the whole of
VSO3 as the files are almost everywhere <g>.

But all in all I think I will stick to PerForce as it is a SCM, thanks for suggesting. There is
still one more in my mind TortoiseSVC but on the home machine it did give a lot of problems.

Please advise.
Regards
Bhavbhuti
