Thanks for the info. I'll take a gander at them (especially if Sergey uses them! :-). What I did recently, to stop all porn search-engines taking over, pop-ups, progs trying to take over my IE, etc., I got the list of threats compiled by Norton that it couldn't delete, girded up my loins, went into the registry and jolly-well zapped as many as I could find. Using the pc is now tolerable.

You know, what beats me most of all, is the fact that these sites and ads etc. get you SO MAD, that you're guaranteed NEVER to visit any of them - EVER, bercause of the pestering adware. So it's all counter-productive for them. It's like an ad on the telly that pisses you off so much that you'll never buy the product. I don't get it!

I'm still not sure that getting rid of these pests will solve my problem but, what the hell!
